STYLES AFRIK DOES PROM SEASON 2017

So Prom and Graduation Season is finally here…..

This year we have had the pleasure of being part of some our young ladies and gentleman’s special day.

Traditionally young ladies and gents would purchase a evening gown and tuxedo from a department store or boutique, however in the last few years more of these same young couples are now choosing to be unique to add bold colours and prints to their end of year dances, to add some culture and history to dresses.

And this is where we come along, we make tailored garments to just for occasions like this. We have been so honoured to have been chosen to make these beautiful dresses for these beautiful young ladies and couples that we wanted to share some of this with you. As the season continues globally we will regularly been showing you snippets from what our ladies choose to wear on the day, all of which you can also purchase. We have also included images from ladies who have chosen our services for their pagents or ceremonial events.

The dress all the girls are wearing is the BISA Dress is different fabrics click here to shop:

So we are two months into 2013 and I am guessing your New Years Resolutions are either deeply buried away or in full effect! Whatever the scenario you have the rest of the year to make it happen! Best of luck!

In January’s Volume 8 / Issue 13 edition, of Spell Magazine our very own in-house fashionista, Stephanie Mensah caught up with BBC Radio Journalist, Reya for a quick catch up on her new years resolutions and much more. You can read the full interview via the link below.

Across the shores, somewhere in the USA, on a sunny afternoon the Grammys 2013 took place. We always love to watch the stars come together in all their style glory!

Mingling: Adele enjoyed catching up with Chris Brown and Frank Ocean

London-born songstress picked up the award for Best Pop Solo Performance for “Set Fire To The Rain”. Chris Brown opted for the angelic dapper look by choice of this ‘All White’ ensemble!

What a fabulous pair: Adele and Beyonce proudly show off their gongs backstage

Mama Bey scooped an award for Traditional RnB Performance for her single ‘Love On Top’. Surprisingly wearing a monogram jumpsuit as opposed to her more feminine, glamorous appearance to the Grammys. She still rocked the understated Diva look well!

Showing off their trinkets: Jay-Z proudly shows off his gongs for Best Rap Song Collaboration and Best Rap Performance, while Carrie Underwood flaunts her country performance honour and Swift flashes her minor achievement

Jay Z, being the male counterpart of the husband and wife powerhouse, not only took home two gongs for Best Rap Song Collaboration and Best Rap Performance, he also looked uber dapper in his formal attire! Bravo to Hova 🙂

Alternative looks were displayed by Estelle and Janelle Monet. Estelle wore a two piece crop top and high-waisted fish tail, print maxi! Absolutely loving her new hair length and style. Miss Monet demonstrates how to put together a well-tailored look.
Rihanna looking rather lush in her red floor length number!

How awesome does she look in her Ralph & Russo couture gown? Solange has the perfect pins for this thigh-high cut out gown! Her contrasting coloured Christian Louboutin spikes adds a pinch of fun to her regal look! Three words..  TO DIE FOR!

Can somebody say ‘CUT AWAYS’.. Kelly Rowland is blessed to have the perfect body to  do this George Chakra Couture, fish tail dress full justice

Mint green is a colour we will be seeing more of during spring, KP made the right choice in selecting this figure hugging number! We are loving the embellishment, keyhole design. KP truly rocked the Grammys
